directions and vocabulary in subjects such as math, science and social studies was stressed. So often reading is thought of as an isolated subject. These two days of training helped to reinforce its importance in other areas and to teach strategies for helping students to achieve mastery. Instructor Michelle Picard provided everyone the opportunity to become engaged in the learning process in a positive way.
