Were I to accept this terminology ns having any value whatsoever, 1 would be a ‘come here", meaning 1 just fell off the turnip truck as it was passing through Sperryville a few years back. The “been heres", having been here longer, would then feel some sort of social separation from me since I have no deep roots in this neck of the woods. The first families of the county would sniff and not accept me and I would be condemned to spend my days hanging out with the “come heres", mostly retired think tank professors who come here on weekends and live up some private driveway and talk about the socio-economic effects of the third world debt on global warming.
