in the following years. In 1986 President Reagan changed Daylight Saving Time slightly. He signed a Public Law 99359, which changed D.S.T. from the last Sunday in April, to the first Sunday in April. No change was made to the ending date of the last Sunday irt October. By adding the full month of April, it is estimated to save nationwide about. 300.000 barrels of oil each year.
Many countries observe Daylight Saving Time, but the beginning and ending dates are different than those in the United States.
It is Daylight Saving (singular) Time, not Daylight Savings Time...next Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 a.m., be sure to set your clocks back one hour and enjoy the long evenings.
