Ihe Amissvule Baptist Church’s free children’s game area was also a great success as was the free face painting offered by the Cheerleaders. The Fire Station was open to show its equipment and Misty Mountain demonstrated traditional spinning.
A grand selection of foods was available ranging from BBQ Wings (United Methodist Youth Group) to the Ruritans hot dogs, ever-popular Barney’s funnel cakes, fresh Williams Orchard cold cider and steak sandwiches by AACA. The “cake walk” run by New Harvest Christian Fellowship was a particular attraction. Pappy’s Kettle Com was back with its old time treat.
