June 23, 1922 in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late David and Maude Tharpe Pullen. She was a member of Soul’s Harbor Church of God in Manassas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Henry Whorton in 1969 and two sons, Charles David Whorton and Ray Taylor Whorton.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Lucille Johnson and her husband, Elmo of Stafford, Lorraine Mayhew and her husband, Lendale of Dale City and Brenda Darlene Queen and her husband, Charles of Manassas; two daughters-inlaw, Betty Whorton of Manassas and Gertrude Martin of Culpeper; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgranddaughter.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Price Funeral Home in Manassas with Pastor D. Tony Willis and Pastor Douglas Mullins officiated. Interment followed at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.
