has performed with orchestras throughout Canada and Europe; as a chamber musician, he is currently a member of the Axelrod String Quartet.

His tours have taken him around the world. Recently he has appeared with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

Kenneth Slowik is a founding member of the Smithsonian Chamber Players, the Smithson and Axelrod string quartets, the Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra, and the Castle Trio. His fine reputation as a multi-talented musician, at the keyboard, playing cello and viola da gamba, and in recent years as a conductor, extends throughout this country and Europe. Slowik is Artistic Director of the Smithsonian Chamber Music Society, which is currently celebrating its 25th season.
