Sports sign-up,
parents to meet
A winter sports sign-up and parents’ meeting will be held on Nov. 7 at the auditorium at the high school. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
Any student interested in trying out for boys basketball; varsity, JV or Junior Panther; girls volleyball; varsity or JV; or wrestling; varsity, JV or Junior Panther should attend the meeting. Parents should attend to meet coaches and get information about the upcoming winter season.
Winter tryouts will begin Nov. 11. Tryout times will be announced at the meeting.
Voting information
The last day to vote absentee in the upcoming general election is this Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Rappahannock Registrar’s Office.
The polls will open on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 6 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. Voters are reminded that proper ID will be required in order to vote.

PEC Office to
host open house
The Rappahannock Piedmont Environmental Office invites Rappahannock residents to stop by their office at 12717 Lee Highway during the week of Nov. 4 for a “Nature Open House Week.” There will be a variety of nature products available and refreshments will be served. Hours for this special week will be 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
