come from to fill such reservoirs? From Rappahannock County. A Culpeper County reservoir study of March 2001. described four feasible reservoir sites. Two were within a few miles of the Clevengers Comer Village Center. One, along the watershed of Indian Run west of Route 229, could see the Hazel River contribute to a 461—acre reservoir on Indian Run. It would hold a little over three billion gallons of water. ' Likewise, water pumped from the Rappahannock River could fill a 227—acre reservoir on Beaverdam Run east of Route 229. and hold 1.3 billion gallons. Two other reservoirs in other parts of Culpeper County could also draw on water from the Hazel and Rappahannock Rivers-. In all these cases, water would only be pumped out of the rivers when the mean daily flow exceeded the mean annual flow.
Culpeper County would then join Stafford and Spotsylvania counties, the City of Fredericksburg, and various industries, which currently draw water from the Rappahannock River. Such
