U-10 Girls
After a few unforeseen weeks off, and with just 2 subs, the Killer Bees, sponsored by Sunnyside Farms, finally swarmed back to the pitch for a tough game in Madison. The extended break took its toll early as the Rapp girls quickly found themselves facing a 3 goal deficit.
The Killer Bees regrouped and buzzed back with three goals of their own as Britani Dodson and Brittany Stephens combined some fancy footwork and timely passing to knot the game.
Christine Pankow and Sarah Wheatley shared goalie duties, and midway through the second half an unfortunate handball in the Killer Bee penalty box gave Madison a penalty kick.
A strong-legged Madison girl scored on a shot that no 10-year-old goalie would have been able to stop. Fighting the clock, the Killer Bees took some chances leaving the Rapp goalie more exposed and with just a couple minutes to play, Madison sealed the victory with a final goal. Next week the girls play Orange at home for one makeup game, and will play their final makeup game on Nov. 9 (to be determined). Good luck girls!
