She was born Feb 14. 1922 in Rappahannock County to the late Columbus “Lum" Washington Jenkins and Ada Florence Jenkins.
Mrs. Woodward is survived by two sisters, Edna Mae Wood of Standardsville and Kitty Elizabeth Hitt of Culpeper; three nieces, Lynn Elliott, who was like a daughter; Brenda Edwards and Jackie Settle and two nephews, Donald Hitt and Michael Wayne Wood.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hessie Robertson Woodward; two sons, Charles Ashby Woodward and Robert Allen Woodward.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel in Culpeper with Rev. Gordon George Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton.
