The U12 girls, Rappahannock Dynamite, sponsored by Ivy Cliff Farms, came away from Madison with a 2-0 win. It was another team effort with lots of hustle from everyone on the field.
Ella Miller drove home a goal after several aggressive runs through Madison’s defense. The second goal was a beautiful play with Caroline Massie, driving home a goal on a wonderful cross by Noel Johns. Maia Lucking and Stevie Ross both took on players bigger than themselves and were fearless in keeping the ball in Madison’s end. Sarah Hazel saw some extended playing time up front and responded with some strong play.
It’s always nice to see the girls running through the ball, dishing off passes to one another, and backing each other up on defense. The Dynamite are looking better every week. They meet Fluvanna in Madison next Saturday for their final game of the season.
