Charmaine Lee will be conducting a one-day workshop Nov. 9 from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Washington Town Hall.

There will be live music with percussionist Steve Bloom, Roger Piantadosi and others. It is an ideal workshop for people who want to begin belly dancing.

The day will be dedicated to belly dancing for healing based on SynergyDance principles. Charmaine Lee draws her inspiration from a mixture of tribal and Egyptian dances, especially those of an ancient gypsy quality, combining her vide knowledge of ethnic dances and her study of the American interpretation of belly dancing.

Through our dancing, our roots go deep into the feminine energy, teaching us about its inward attractive quality. We feel connected to women in the world, the raw power of life and the joy of living. As far as practical details, bring scarves and a mat or rug. You may want to bring a bag lunch.
