Show at the Piedmont Regional Science Fair. As a result, Jim, now a junior at Rappahannock County High School, will attend his second International Science Fair, to be held this year in Hamilton, Ontario. Jim’s project was “The Traveling Salesman Problem—Phase III,” which also won first place in the computer science category and a special award from the Yale Science and Engineering Association as most outstanding exhibit. The 17-year-old showed computer solutions to determine how a traveling salesman can most efficiently travel from 15 to 300 different cities. When Clark won in 1993, he used humans to solve the < problem.
