McNear, former Director of Planning in Fauquier County from 1972-1992, said, “the good news is that the county has maintained its goals to keep the county rural and protect agriculture. You have controlled scenic views of the county and prices of land and houses are a testimony to that.”
Those issues are important to McNear as well, since he is also a resident of Rappahannock County, living on Gid Brown Hollow.
