Student Response
Less than 10 Rappahannock County High School students took the new SAT that Saturday. Many had taken the previous version offered several months ago.
Eleventh grader Jacob Dodson of Flint Hill said, “I didn’t take the old test, but the new one is hard.”
Another student who wished to remain anonymous stated that the writing portion of the test, “seems like a good addition since it can be indicative of a student’s critical and intellectual thinking.”
Students also said the math questions were difficult.. One student claimed he had not yet learned some of the math required to answer the questions while another stated the difficulty with questions involved material the student had learned but not recently practiced.
