new governor
hey’re off to the races and while several weeks
ago, political pundits would have agreed that it
would be a Kilgorp-Kaine competition there are several others who have thrown their hat in.
Kilgore visited the Rappahnnock News several weeks ago as one of several stops he had planned that day.
Touting a message of “honest reform” across the board in reference to taxes, transportation and education, Kilgore emphasized “making Virginia great again.”
In the last gubernatorial race of 2001, this paper endorsed Democratic candidate John Warner for governor as well Tim Kaine(D) for lieutenant governor.
Jerry Kilgore garnered the endorsement as the Republican candidate for attorney general. Both Kaine and Kilgore were winners.
In all likelihood, it will come down to a race between those two and residents in Rappahannock will have to decide where to place their votes for the next governor.
Wonder if any of the candidates will take up arms for the CCC.
