Ten local artists, working in a variety of mediums, have focused their attention and skills on the theme of resurrection, producing a fascinating array of artwork celebrating regeneration in all its beauty and mystery.
This exhibition is the brainchild of Rappahannock painter, Robin Purnell and nine other artists including Dorette Amell, Gary Colson, Jeanne Drevas, Steven Kenny, Sally Nash, Rene Ruffner, Barbara Sherwood, Rex Slack, and Christopher Stephens.
The idea came up one evening about a year ago while this group of fellow artists was discussing life and art during one of their regular monthly dinners.
It was immediately decided that each artist would produce one or several works based on their own interpretation of the concept of resurrection.
