For the second consecutive year, Gray Ghost’s Chardonnays were the only Virginia Chardonnays awarded at the prestigious Jerry Mead New World International Wine Competition held in Ontario, Calif. Gray Ghost’s 2003 Reserve Chardonnay took home a silver medal — surpassing such" well-known California wineries as KendallJackson, Napa Ridge Winery and Sebastiani. Gray Ghost’s 2003 Chardonnay won a bronze.
