Allow acreage to exist without interference and the land will become a grassy meadow with some shrubs and then some trees will grow. All of this plant life will be native to the area.
They will grow to their expected life span and produce a continuing natural habitat that over time provides food and shelter for native insects, a myriad of animal species and a pleasant view shed. Over more time, these areas become what they will. Perhaps a meadow or a woodland that includes a variety of ecosystems that are “home” to the creatures that were here before we took over management of the environment. Nature does that.
