Lt. Connie Smith and The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a fugitive suspect believed to be responsible for the July 10 vandalism and robbery of Rappahannock County High School.
Graham Rexford Masters, a 24year-old man from Castleton, is charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny in connection with the RCHS break in. Masters’ whereabouts are currently unknown and Smith believes he may have fled the area. According to Smith , Masters may have had accomplices in the robbery.
“If he didn’t, he must have been real busy,” said Smith.
On the morning of July 10, employees arriving at RCHS discovered the interior of the school heavily vandalized. Interior windows were smashed, and the office of school resource officer Capt. Jeff Brown was torn apart. Later, $6,000.00 in power tools and $10,000.00 in band equipment, including a tuba, were found to be missing. Masters is presumably familiar with the interior of RCHS, as he was a student there in the late nineties.
