home invasion that occurred on Rollins Ford road the night of August 23. At around 10:30 p.m., the home of a 27-year-old woman on the road was forcibly entered by two black males, described as being between 5’8” and 5’10”, and weighing between 225 and 250 pounds. According to the victim, the men were wearing masks made from panty hose and brandishing a pistol. On their entrance , several people visiting the home owner fled the house. The men allegedly threatened the woman with a gun and ordered her to open the safe and turn over the contents, about $200.00. The men then left the scene. This incident is still under investigation.
Thieves go antiquing
The RCSO is currently struggling for leads in their investigation of a recent spate of burglaries that have occurred in the Five Forks area of the county. The thefts are linked by the stolen items, mostly antique furniture and tools, and the fact that all the items were stolen from vacant structures on Rudasill Mill road and Fletcher’s Mill road.
