The Annual “Old Hollow Reunion” will be held Sunday, September 10 at Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church, Speriyville. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Please bring a covered dish, beverage and join us for a time of fellowship.

September 12: Quilt Club to meet

The Rappahannock Quilt Club will met on Tuesday, September 12, at the Washington Fire Hall from 9 a.m. to noon. If you have a long forgotten quilting project you would like to restart, need some large tables to complete work on a current project, are looking for some inspiration to get your next project off the ground, or are just curious and would like to know more about quilting, come join our happy and very informal group. September 12: Weight

Watchers session to begin

There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in joining Weight Watchers. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at 4:30 p.m. at Rappahannock County High School. With 15 participants the session will be 12 weeks. If there are 20 participants there is an option of a 17 week session. The new session will begin on September 12th.

September 12: Grief workshop

Hospice of the Rapidan will offer a free workshop for people who are grieving the loss of a family member, loved one or close friend. The workshop will meet on six consecutive Tuesday afternoons beginning September 12 and ending October 17th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the community room of Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Culpeper. “Fear Not the Hills - Ride hdrd & Ride On”

A charity bicycle ride for the benefit of the Rappahannock and Fauquier Free Clinics. Starts at 10 a.m. rain or shine from Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, Virginia. There are three courses designed to suit your cycling challenge whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider. The first 300 registered riders will receive the Rappahannock RoughRide T-shirt. It’s a day of crafters, artisans, history collecting, music and the Annual Jousting Competition. Vendors are needed for this annual event held at Leeds Ruritan Park in Hume. The Hume Day committee is seeking crafters, artisans, and all those interested in the opportunity to exhibit their work to the community.
