that you can live a better life. Some advice that I would have liked to have known back then would be the importance of reading. It is vital to read insatiably, read everything about everything.
It is the most important and crucial step towards having a better life. The thing about high school for me was that I wasn’t all tha1 clear on was why I was there. I was lost. I knew that in order to get to collegi you had to do well in high school, but that didn’t really register until it was too late. Kids need to know why they are here. It needs to be stressed that the decisions that they make now will have an enormous effect on the rest of their lives, for good or ill.
And finally, they need to understand that there is more to life than what lies at the end of pipe, there are better feelings than tipping the dregs of an empty bottle, and there are far more important things in this world than being cool.
The faster you understand that the better your life will be.
