with all of us. Tail quivering and tongue panting aside, it’s been a good day.

At the end of a long day on the farm, Lucy gracefully surrenders to her body. Once, twice, three times circling around on her pillow, she plops herself down with total abandon and begins to sleep, dreaming of the one day when she’ll catch that elusive frog.

So what have I learned from Lucy? Seven simple lessons for life:

1. Begin each day with a stretch and a smile and embrace its possibilities.

2. Even old territory may hold new and pleasant surprises.

3. Do what you love and you’ll never be bored.

4. Be centered on your Purpose and enthusiastically persevere in pursuing it.

5. Celebrate your success and share it with others.

6. Listen to the body that houses your essence. Gracefully surrender to each day.

7. Don’t let failure stop you from dreaming. Tomorrow always holds new possibilities and opportunities.

Wonderful lessons from my four-legged friend, don’t you think? May today bring you closer to your ‘inner puppy* and may you learn to be more like Lucy, (fleas, ticks and dog breath notwithstanding)!
