Gillis has plans to increase that mileage to 30. The team also does cross training with bicycles and ultimate Frisbee.
“We have quality numbers, so my expectations are high,” Gillis added.
Gillis also receives plenty of assistance from coaches Scott Wilde and Pam Chovnick, whose dog, Biscuit, serves as the team’smascot.
Besides Ramey and Makala, Billy Rechin, Zack Wayland, Will Boelte and Andrew Lee are also returning runners. Amanda Smoot and Samantha Falls will anchor the girls’ team.
