Smashing success
“This year our yard sale was an overwhelming success,” said Ray Boc who chairs the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee. “It was our biggest ever.” People came from far and wide and many walked away with great bargains of quality merchandise. Volunteers worked long hours to deal with the incredible volume and quality of the items submitted this year. Any items not sold were carted off by a thrift store in Culpeper. Barbara Dennis and Barbara Adolfi served as co-chairs. Volunteer Alice Biby cashiered as Maddie Axelrod of Bluebell, Pennsylvania proudly donned her new purchase as Slate Mills resident Lowell Dodge hangs on to his treasure.
