Getting the ambulance equipped took several weeks as radios had to be installed and equipment purchased. Another State EMS Grant helped purchase expensive major equipment like the cardiac monitoring “Life Pack”, a stretcher, and a “chair stair” which aids rescue workers in moving patients down stairs. With her new equipment, “Big Red” has been in service for 115 days.
