Educators from Other Countries to Visit RCHS : U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs representative William Bobbitt has arranged for a twelve-member delegation of education officials, teachers, and school administrators from Afghanistan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to visit RCHS in mid-September as part of a three-week visit to the U.S. to learn about elementary and secondary education in the U.S.
According to Bobbitt, "We learned about rural schoolcommunity partnerships in Rappahannock County from the article in Rural Policy Matters, published by the Rural School and Community Trust. The visiting educators specifically want to learn about and briefly visit examples of school-community partnerships in Rappahannock County, including Farm-toTable, Culinary Arts, the Geospatial Technologies Class, and EMT Training. They also want to learn about the role of Headwaters Foundation and the School Board in initiating these partnerships."
