A not so great escape
On August 27, the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s office quickly ended an escape attempt by 19-yearold prisoner TTiomas Allen Daly. Daly, from Catlett, VA, was originally arrested on charges of DUI and driving on a revoked license by State Trooper KerriAnne Corbett on August 25. Daly was being walked to the Magistrate’s office by an RCSO deputy when he tried to run away. Fortunately, Daly was cuffed and wearing leg shackles, and “didn’t get much farther than ten feet” according to Sheriff Larry Sherertz. According to the sheriff, Daly fought officers after he was instantly reapprehended and Daly has been charged with “escape with force” in addition to his previous charges. According to the sheriff, Daly is also currently under treatment for a psychological disorder.
