here, enthusiastic members of the audience _. _ ._ asked her to come back Naoko Takao soon - and to play the identical program over again. In deference to this request, a few of those works will be repeated, but the program will mostly include different works by Liszt, Rachmaninov, Chopin etc. as well as two pieces for piano not previously heard at the Theatre: one by Samuel Barber and one by Robert Gibson — a new work entitled “A Sound Within”.

Ms. Takao was the Gold Medalist at the San Antonio International Piano Competition in 2000. She performs nationally and internationally as soloist, and in chamber music ensembles. She has appeared with the Smithsonian Chamber Players on a number of occasions. Recently she gave a highly successful series of solo concerts at Strathmore Hall in Maryland.

Tickets for the concert at the Theatre on Saturday, March 31 are $20 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under.
