for Wellness Workshop
The Drumming for Wellness Workshop is an experiential program designed to create awareness of the potential of rhythm-based wellness initiatives. Participants will get to experience in a first hand way, the potential for group drumming to relieve stress, raise morale and facilitate wellbeing. Group drumming offers a powerful antidote to stress and depression. It also has the power to inspire self-confidence, cooperation and creativity. The rhythm-based activities are presented by experienced group facilitator and presenter, Jonathan Murray. Come and experience for yourself the power and potential of rhythmbased wellness initiatives in this fun and informative workshop. Instruments provided. March 17: Kid's Fishing Day
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will be holding Kid’s Fishing Day in Madison County, Virginia. It will be held Saturday from 9:00 a m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Robinson River by the intersection of Route 600 and Route 643 near Syria, Va. Children ages 12 and under will be permitted to fish without a license. Children over 16 and adults are allowed to assist children but must have a license if they plan to fish. The event is free and is also sponsored by Graves Mountain Lodge and Trout Unlimited.
