Scoping is the first step to involve the public in the compliance process. Scoping includes holding meetings and providing opportunities for the public to comment, so that concerns are identified early and the analysis focuses on important issues.
Two public meetings, identical in format, will be held. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at Spotswood High School; 368 Blazer Drive; Penn Laird, VA. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, March 29 at the Madison County Fire Station; 1223 N. Main Street; Madison VA. Both meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.
Public comment will be accepted at either of the public scoping meetings or electronically at http://parkplanning. nps.gov/shen. Comments will be accepted until April 27, 2007.
