Carson Johnson and friends who made the sewer system possible in Sperryville in the mid-eighties and made a major contribution to the clean-up of the river. Bill Pumphrey called to say that his housing renovations have also eliminated two out houses and a direct pipeline of sewage from one house into the river. He also said that Leobardo Reyes’ and his talented crew will continue that wonderful stone wall across the back of both houses. The Sperryville Renaissance continues thanks to people like Bill Pumphrey!

Rappahannock -County is now the official host community of the 6th Annual Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission’s Living Towns Planning Workshop, having received final approval of their Board of Directors. We look forward to hosting this workshop not only to learn how to better preserve community, but also to showcase what is so special about Rappahannock County.
