Burke will “monitor” SutlifFs work, reviewing briefs and other filings the McCandlish & Lillard lawyer produces. He will also handle billing issues and provide the supervisors updates as needed, either directly or through memos from Sutliff.
“I may attend some of the (SCC) proceedings” to observe, Burke said. But he plans to keep that to a minimum. “I don’t think that’s an efficient use of my time.”
In addition to northern and southern Fauquier, Dominion’s “preferred route” passes through portions of Frederick, Warren, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Prince William and Loudoun counties. Other possible routes roughly would track Interstate 66. All potential lines would link a substation near Winchester and one in Loudoun near Areola.
