i The Sue Slaughter Group of Shiloah Association’s Woman’s Missionary Union will meet at the Chester Gap Baptist Church on I Thursday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Mrs. Thelma Moorhead, a missionary to Japan for 37 years. I Members and friends are invited to attend.

C.V.F.D. To Meet

The Castleton Volunteer Fire Department will meet on Wednesday. October 6, at 8 p.m. at the [ fire hall. All members and interested persons are urged to attend. !

Drug Abuse Meeting

All parents concerned about drug abuse among Rappahannock County School students are urged to attend monthly meetings held the first Tuesday > night of each month at 7:30 at Rappahannock Elementary School.

At the October 5 meeting the group will review ! the curriculum efforts directed at curbing drug abuse that have been successful in Fauquier County Schools. [

Methodist Services

Church services at the Flint Hill United 1 Methodist Church will be at 8:43 a.m. this Sunday. October 3 instead of 11:13 a.m. in order that the Willis Chapel United Methodist can hold & homecoming services at 11:13 on Sunday. October 3.

The Rev. Norman J. Flvthe. former pastor of the Rappahannock Charge will be the guest speaker. A covered dish dinner will follow the service. Everyone is cordially invited.
