The award for Environmental Conservation was presented to R. deTreville Lawrence, Sr. for the Vinifera Assn. and recognized their influence in the preservation of the rural countryside through high vineyard income for farmers enabling them to make farm land profitable and removing the temptation to sell it to developers.

The final item of business at the awards luncheon was the election of Board members. The slate was presented by Nominating Committee Chmn., George Horkan.
