NOTICE OF

PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to Section 15.1-431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the Courthouse building, Washington, Virginia on Friday, October 8, 1982 at which time the Board of Zoning Appeals will consider the following applications:

(1) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 176: Mrs. William E. Lynn, t-a Wakefield Country Day School, has applied for a special use , mit in accordance vi ' Section 2-12(15) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to construct an addition to Wakefield Country Day School to include a gymnasium, locker rooms, language laboratory, office and other facilities on U. S. Route 522 north of Flint Hill.

(2) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 177: Mildred Cebula, t-a "The Hampton Inn," has applied for a special use permit in accordance with Section 7-12(10) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to operate a game room with commercial amusements on U. S. Route 211 west of Washington.

(3) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 178: Rappahannock Group Home Partnership has applied for a Special Use Permit in accordance with Section 7-12(12) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to operate a licensed nursing home for not more than 120 adults at the old Rappahannock Ski Area on State Route 622 in Harris Hollow west of Washington.

(4) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 179: On behalf of the Rappahannock County School Board, Gerald S. Lysik, Clerk of the Board, has applied for a Special Use Permit in accordance with Section 2-1-205) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to construct and operate a combination school board office and school bus maintenance facility adjacent to the Rappahannock Elementary School off U. S. Route 211 west of Washington.

(5) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 180: Barbara L. Wood has applied for a Special use permit in accordance with Section 2-12(14) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to operate a boarding house ("bed and breakfast inn") on Lot C of the "Lindgren 'Whaley Tract'" off State Route 729 between Ben Venue and Flint Hill.

(6) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 181: Jean R. Lillard and Robert D. Lane have applied for a Special use permit in accordance with Section 7-1-200) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to operate video games incidental to their grocery store-restaurant business at Bradford's Store in Flint Hill, Virginia.

(7) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 182: J. Maurice O'Bannon and Huey L. Atkins, t-a "Parkway Gift Shop" have applied for a Special use permit in accordance with Section 7-1200) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to operate pinball and video machines at Parkway Gift Shop on U. S. Route 211 west of Sperryville.

(8) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 183: Edwin M. Eastham has applied for a Special Use Permit in accordance with Section 2-1201) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to erect a sign on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. D. Salahi, t-a Oasis Vineyard, at the intersection of U. S. Route 522 and State Secondary Route 635.

(9) SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 184: Charles A. Green, t-a LomBarDy, has applied for a Special Use Permit in accordance with Section 7-1200) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to operate pinball and video machines at LomBarDy Restaurant on U. S. Route 211, east of Amissville, Virginia.

(10) SPECIAL USE PER MIT APPLICATION NO. 185: Helen Brentley Crowell has applied for a Special Use Permit in accordance with Section 2-1-2(20) of the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, to establish the main house of her property as a girls dormitory for The Wakefield School in Flint Hill, Virginia on Route 662.
