11. What member, along with Mr. Lane, reviewed and revamped the entire insurance portfolio of the School District to avoid, hopefully, such catastrophies as the current S22 million lawsuit hanging over the heads of the Fauquier County taxpayers?
12. What member has taken a leading role on the Board to control School Budgets (about 75 percent of the county total) to avoid waste and excess while providing, at the same time, the funds required by law and for a sound public education?
13- What member has everlastingly insisted that school children be treated fairly and impartially in discipline cases—regardless of race, wealth or poverty, and without regard to family name or influence in the county?
14. What member is now carrying on a painful and lonely struggle (in accordance wlfh lift 'Sworn duty) to prevent the undermining of the integrity of this and future School Boards by preserving intact the constitutional prerogatives of this and all school boards in Virginia?
15. What member has, over these three years, done a great deal more than the above (check the minutes) in behalf of the school children and the citizens of this county, with no expectation of personal gain and no desire for public office in this county (already publicly foresworn)? I made a solemn promise to the Trustee Electoral Board to serve for 4 years and no more. Barring an act of God or the circuit court judge, I intend to do exactly that. My 4 years will end shortly—at midnight June 30, 1983. Then you both can heave a sigh of relief and everyone can go back to sleep. Meanwhile, I shall try to do the best I can and bite an inch off my tongue when I am "wrought, perplexed in the extreme”.
