Mrs. Esther Poles Freeman of Philadelphia. Pa. died Tuesday. September 21. 1982.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Rappahannock County on March 19, 1912, a daughter of the late Warren and Jennie Dearing Poles. She was the granddaughter of the late Martha Ann Poles and was married to James E. Freeman. Mrs. Freeman was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Brooklyn, N. Y. Survivors include a son, Warren Freeman; one daughter, Charlotte L Fauntleroy, both of Philadelphia, Pa. and two sisters, Martha L Siner of New Jersey and Rose Mae Lewis of Philadelphia, Pa. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 25, at the Holy Cross Baptist Church in Philadelphia by the Rev. Joseph H. Beatty. Burial was at Mt. Lawn Cemetery. Among those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Gatewood of Manassas, Mrs. Bessie Grigsby of Sperryville, Mrs. Vivian Gatewood and Sandy Hart, both of Washington.

Lester Anderson Stanley, 32, of Culpeper died Tuesday, September 14, 1982, at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He was a foreman with J. D. Stokely Contractors and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Stanley of Rixeyville. Besides his parents, additional survivors include his wife. Mrs. Frances Jenkins Stanley; a son, Lester Anderson Stanley Jr. of Culpeper; two brothers. Michael R. Stanley and Kenneth A. Stanley, both of Culpeper and his grandparents, Mrs. Rosie J. Stanley and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Deal, all of Rixeyville. Funeral services were held at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper on Friday by the Rev. Edward T. Wines and Rev. Irvin Haley. Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
