Mix together corn meal, raisins ana sugar. Blend eggs, 1 cup milk and shortening or oil. Add liquid all at once to corn meal mixture, mixing only until well blended. Add more milk for desired thickness. Fill greased muffin tins twothirds cup full. Drop 1 teaspoon apple jelly in center of each muffin. Bake in hot oven (425) 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
