Donald R- Chandler, the architect who designed the Rappahannock Medical Center, Dr. Werner Krebser’s home in Huntly and the Washington Square Building that was formerly Merrill’s Garage, plans to establish a working school near Flint Hill where students can experience creation through architecture.
Chandler recently purchased a 63 acre farm outside Flint Hill. The main house, ready for immediate school functions, will be used for classrooms, living quarters and an architect’s office, according to Chandler.
In addititon, bams and other outbuildings can be modified to accommodate future growth. With the process to secure necessary zoning permits underway.
