Indications are that the Virginia Outdoors Foundation will again accept donations of open space easements before the end of 1982, according to the Piedmont Environmental Council’s September newletter. The Warrenton-based organization reports, however, the VOF’s previous acceptance procedures may be altered to satisfy new federal requirements. According to PEC, which has worked over the past two years with the rest of the nation’s open space community to change the easement climate, two recent events have been particularly significant in triggering new optimism. The Rappahannock News inadvertantly printed last year’s 4-H advertisement for the Corner Post Restaurant in last week’s edition of the paper. The up-coming grand opening announced in the ad was held a year ago and will not be repeated.
