While the economic issue is number one, there are sharp differences between the two candidates up and down the line. Lindsay Dorrier favors environmental protection laws such as the Clean Air Act and a moratorium on uranium mining in Virginia; his opponent does not. Lindsay Dorrier would strengthen and protect our personal interests and liberties in matters such as social security, tuition tax credits, ERA, school prayer, draft registration and fair housing; his opponent takes the opposite view in each case.
In short, the Democratic candidate is people-oriented and middle-of-the-road.
