Saturday most of the Castleton volunteer fire and rescue squad members will attend the annual association picnic and softball game at the Washington Community Center at 4 p.m. Some of them will be coming from the final session of the Carl Bischoff memorial CPR class. Participants take their tests Saturday to see if they get certified. Castleton rescue workers will be acting as “proctors” and grading these exams.
Birthdays? Aunt Michele’s real nephew John Hilbrand celebrates his Sunday. Although he lives in Grant, Michigan, he’s a big fan of “Big K.” After he received some of the programs on cassette for Christmas, he began to collect autographs for the deejays. He continues to try to persuade the rest of the family to take a vacation to Virginia. Then he’d like to travel on down to Graceland and Nashville.
