Repairs to the Skyline Drive will focus on rebuilding drainage systems that carry mountain water runoff beneath the roadway. Deteriorated chestnut cribbing and rusted drainage pipes w ill be replaced at a number of locations between Skyland and Big Meadows, a ten-mile section of the Drive that is most used by park visitors.
