James Robert Mundy, Jr., 36, of Front Royal, died Sunday, August 21, 1983 at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.

Mr. Mundy was born May 26, 1947, in Front Royal, son of the late James Robert, Sr. and Matilda Roy Mundy. He was employed at Vint Hill Farms Station. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Promise Land Baptist Church. He was also a member of American Legion Post 174, Cavalier Club and the Masonic Lodge of Front Royal.

Survivors include his wife, Demedrice V. Oliver Mundy of Front Royal; five daughters, Demedrice I., Tammy, Jennifer, Deidre and Danielle Mundy, all at home; two brothers, Warren Roy of Philadelphia, Pa. and Ernest Roy of Dale City and a sister, Bertha Freeman of Washington.

Masonic services will be held Thursday, August 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel of the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.

Pallbearers will be Enoch Love, James Gaskins, Ralph Sharp, David Adams, Eugene Jordan, James Walker, Paul Brooks and Forrest Freeman.
