The Commissioners agreed by consensus that they wanted to make a recommendation to the BZA on MCI’s permit application.
James Swindler, the BZA’s representative to the planning commission, reported that the zoning board probably won’t vote on MCI’s special use permit application at its September 7 public hearing but would delay action until its next session. “So you have plenty of time to make a recommendation,” he advised. In response, the planners opted to table the recommendation.
The commissioners set a special work session to review proposed changes to the zoning ordinance for Wednesday, August 24. The planning commission’s next regular meeting is September 21.
