At Gay Street Theater
This stirring rock movie is both a concert and a celebration with musical numbers from the Band’s farewell show interspersed with inverviews of the stars. The film also features Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Ringo Starr and Emmy Lou Harris. It was directed by Martin Scorcese.
The movie runs Friday, April 6 at 8 p.m., Sunday at 7 and Monday at 8.
Group To Tour
Fredericksburg
Some 25 members of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution on April 10 will include on their tour of Historic Fredericksburg, the home of Mary Washington and Kenmore, the home of Betty Washington Lewis. Lunch will be at the Smyth House. Four from Rappahannock are making plans to take this tour.
Any member in the Culpeper-Rappahannock area desiring a ride is asked to meet at the Culpeper United Methodist Church .not later than 10:00 a.m. The group is asked to be at Mary Washington’s Home in Fredericksburg by 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10 as this is where the tour will start.
Gospel Concert Planned
Four local gospel choirs are joining together for an evening of inspiring, hand-clapping music on April 28 at 7:30 at the Gay St. Theater.
The Singing Word, the Spiritualaires, The Macedonia Price Singers and the Clarence Dearing Memorial Choir will be singing to benefit the Macedonia Baptist Church and the Promised Land Baptist Church. The concert is being planned in cooperation with RAAC.
