Two-day Shearing School
To Be Held In Virginia
Charles Swaim, fourtime national shearing champion, will teach a two day sheep shearing school at the Shenandoah Valley Experiment Station, Steeles Tavern, Virginia, on April 17 and 18. The Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension coordinates the school and the Oster Division of Sunbeam Corporation sponsors Swaim.
No pre-registration is required and there will be no fee charged for the school. The school is open to anyone interested in learning to shear. It will begin on Tuesday, April 17, at 9:00 a.m. Those attending the first day will be permitted to return for the second day to further develop their technique. Participants in past shearing schools may want to attend the second day to nnuh up on their technique. The second day will begin at IKK) a.m. and conclude at won. Participants are responsible for their own neals and lodging.
