Coach Spieker was quick to give some of the credit for the excellent early season performances of her track teams to assistant coach Greg Waters and special assistants Tim Williams, Doyle Dunn and Eugene Grigsby, graduates of last year’s squad. “The boys arrive at 3:30 every day to help coach and they’re doing an excellent job. Without the help we’ve gotten from these fine young men, coaching 39 boys and 22 girls on this year’s track teams would be difficult,” Spieker said.
